The Cooleys – August 10th, 2024

When I arrived at Lakeland at Point Breeze for Hannah and Chris Cooley’s wedding, I could already tell it was going to be a special day. There’s just something about being right on Lake Ontario that makes everything feel a little more magical, and the energy was buzzing with excitement from the start.

Hannah and Chris chose such a timeless, yet fresh aesthetic for their day. Sage green details were woven throughout the decor, from the choice’s of linen to the table settings, which gave everything a soft, natural feel. And don’t even get me started on the baby’s breath accents—so simple, yet so elegant! They were everywhere, adding the perfect delicate touch to the bouquets, centerpieces, and even the ceremony arch. It was all so beautifully cohesive without feeling overly done.

The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with Lake Ontario sparkling behind them as they said their vows. Chris couldn’t stop grinning, and Hannah had that perfect mix of excitement and emotion on her face. I love photographing moments like that—so real and unscripted. You could feel their personalities shining through, from the little jokes in their vows to the way they couldn’t stop looking at each other. These two are so them, and that’s what made the day so special.

As the day turned into night, and the sun set over the lake, the party kicked into full gear. And wow—did their guests bring the energy! The dance floor was packed all night, and I was able to capture so many fun, candid moments. You could feel the joy radiating from everyone. Hannah and Chris clearly have a lot of love around them.

This wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. Everything from the setting, to the details, to the genuine connection between these two made it one of those days I’ll always remember.
